Bee Balm - A slow spreading plant that has a great aroma. Sprinkle its leaves and flowers in fruit salads. Good plant for poor, well drained soil. It has a unique flowering habit, funky seed heads which makes it a gorgeous as a cut flower. Butterflies and hummingbirds love this plant and it is drought tolerant and deer resistant. Note that the bergamot herb is not the source of bergamot oil.

Coreopsis - One of the best and oldest varieties of cultivated wildflowers. These plants prefer the well drained soil poor so many of us are blessed with. Coreopsis is a great cut flower that is deer resistant, drought tolerant, butterflies adore it. Coreopsis has also proven to be a lady bug magnet to our gardens. Lady bugs are very beneficial to any garden as they are known to eat aphids.

Globe Thistle - Vibrant violet blue with globe shaped flowers on long stemmed silvery blue foliage. Very striking as a cut flower and holds its blue color amazingly well after drying.  Grows in any soil as long as it is well drained. Deer resistant, drought tolerant and works well in wildflower garden or herbaceous border. Great  addition to a Moon Garden.

Hollyhock - Stunning mix of tall flowers that make a stunning back drop for any space. Blooming in late June on. Excellent cut flower. Great for the back of borders & beds. Appreciates wind protection.

Red Hot Poker - Easy to grow! This evergreen perennial produces brilliant orange and yellow tubular flowers on slender spikes. They will tolerate wind and coastal conditions and thrives in a well drained, full sun, open location. For fuller more vibrant flowers, keep watered in hot summer months. Superb showy cut flower for large arrangements. Hummingbirds love this plant and will visit frequently.

Shasta Daisy - Easy to  grow, these tough plants produce single and semi double blooms up to seven inches across! Fantastic in almost any conditions or soil. Shasta daisy is drought tolerant, deer resistant and self sows easily making them a great addition to any wildflower or rural garden. Cut them back immediately after flowering to encourage a second crop.

Sweet Alyssum - Foamy white, sweetly scented, early blooms on easy to grow versatile plants. Use in beds, borders or  containers. Flowers are edible. Sweet Alysum is a member of the mustard family. While not frost tolerant, sweet alyssum plants will self sow and can provide you with a returning display of glowing  white in milder climates. Great for a moon garden when planted in masses.
