African Blue eye Daisy

Notes: Long stemmed, large daisy like flowers with a UNIQUE vivid blue centre on sparse, blue green, slender foliage. African Blue Daisy appreciate part shade and even moisture. An easy to grow, eye-catcher when sown in mass plantings.

Instructions: Direct sow 2 to 3 mm deep in April and May or start then indoors in late March or early April. African Daisy respond well to transplanting and fertilizing. But only fertilize if the plant looks deficient of nutrients, otherwise it may respond poorly by producing soft stemmed weak blooms. Note that watering the young seedlings regularly is very important, as the young plants require plenty of water to become established. Germination is 5 to 10 days.

History: African daisy (Dimorphotheca pluvialis) is an annual plant native to Namibia and the south western Cape.In its native habitt it blooms in the rainy season
